Scripps Networks Interactive accepts their checkScripps Networks Interactive won the top prize in our 2012 Commuter Challenge—a $500 donation to the charity of their choice— and selected Friends of the Smokies as the recipient.  Other winners in the busiess category are: the Metropolitan Planning Commission in Category 1 (1 to 99 employees), 21st Mortgage in Category 2 (100 to 499 employees), Scripps Networks Interactive in Category 3 (500 to 1,999 employees), and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in for Category 4 (2,000 employees).

Summer Mattman's mom accepts on her behalfSummer Mattaman, Y12, took home the individual grand prize—a $1,500 vacation package provided by AAA Travel of East Tennessee. Mast General Store, Café 4, and Smart Trips provided even more individual prizes to the following participants:

Lauren GarrowayCongratulations to our Prize Trolley Winners!
From 5 to 8 p.m. on June 1, Smart Trips took over a KAT trolley and hosted our version of the popular game show, Cash Cab. Around 75 people won movie tickets or gift cards, but only one could snag the grand prize: congratulations Lauren Garroway! We hope you enjoy your Kindle Touch!



Knox Rockers windowAnd the Winners Are...KNOX ROCKERS!
The team who decorated the University of Tennessee Conference Center, nicknamed the Knox Rockers, won Smart Trips first Downtown Window Display contest with more than 26 percent of the 847 votes cast. Their window design focused on taking transit with a Flintstonesque theme. A very close second place went to Bliss (22%), and Mast General Store (14%) came in third.
