The Smart Trips Commuter Challenge

May 1, 2008 – June 30, 2009
Outsmart the SmartFix 40 traffic hassles! Take the bus, carpool, bike, walk, or telecommute to work and get the chance to win your share of $10,000 in prizes. Monthly prizes
Log alternative commutes 5 days or more a month and have a chance to win a $50 gift card from:

Smart Trips, a program of the Knoxville Regional Transportation Planning Organization, serves the urbanized areas of Knox, Blount, Sevier, Jefferson, and Anderson Counties. The Smart Trips Program is funded by the US Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, the Tennessee Department of Transportation, Knox County, the ALCOA Foundation and Tennessee Valley Bicycles.

Smart Trips Waiver of Liability
Participation in Smart Trips programs such as carpool, vanpool, riding the bus, biking, walking to work, and the Emergency Ride Home (ERH) program is an individual decision. Participants are completely responsible for the operation of carpools and participation in any Smart Trips programs. SMART TRIPS AND THE KNOXVILLE REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLANNING ORGANIZATION SHALL HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS, EXPENSES, OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY INDIVIDUAL'S PARTICIPATION IN A CARPOOL, VANPOOL, BUS, BIKE, WALK, OR ERH PROGRAMS.
